It’s that time of year when social media is flooded with family vacation pictures-some at the beach, some the mountains and, a few adventurous ones, cross country or overseas. It has been several years since my husband and I took an honest-to-goodness family vacation with our now grown children. I miss those times.
But, luckily, our nest is not totally empty; our 10-year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi is our baby now. So, like any good parents, we took him with us on our vacation to the mountains of North Carolina. It is an escape from the oppressive Florida heat.
Higgins loves the mountains. He especially loves the streams, the park and going for walks. So, if you like dogs, pretty scenery and a bit of small town Americana, enjoy our family vacation pictures with our “baby”.
Looks like Sir Higgins had a fun time! Love all his photos. 🐾

Kim, you definitely win the most adorable blog post for the July 4th weekend! 🙂 I’ve heard so many good things about Corgis. And the name? Love it! We had to put our 11 year old Lhasa, Rupert, down in April. Seeing your pics made me smile. 🙂 Blessings!

Thanks Cathy! I’m so sorry about your Rupert (also a great name). I can’t imagine. Higgins will be 11 in November. He’s so much fun but he sheds a ton! LOL!
