This seems to be the summer for checking things off my bucket list. Maybe it’s because I’m nearing one of those milestone ages. Maybe it’s because I’m an empty nester and have the time to travel. Whatever it is, my husband and I are enjoying doing the things we said we would do one day.
This week’s edition — Niagara Falls
I have always wanted to see Niagara Falls. I love waterfalls. The power of the water rushing over the edge, plunging hundreds of feet below is awe-inspiring. We visited Linville Falls in North Carolina twice last month. They are much smaller than Niagara but beautiful nonetheless. The only thing I don’t like about waterfalls is when children and tourists get too close to the edge. Sometimes, I just have to walk away.
We finally got to see them and it truly was amazing! The power of the water rushing over the edge was incredible! I could have watched it all day! We went on a boat ride to the base of the falls and got soaked. It was a memorable experience.
Here are some pictures from the day. I wish they were as magnificent as the falls were.
If you have not visited Niagara Falls, I highly recommend you add it to your bucket list.
My husband and I visited Niagara Falls with our kids when they were younger. It IS an unforgettable place!

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon at Niagara Falls. I loved it there!! We rode Maid of the Mist and sat on a bench by the falls at night admiring the colored lights. It was a magical place!

I grew up in Buffalo and used to drive past the falls everyday! Oh how I miss it sometimes! My tip as a local would be to stay in Buffalo! The falls are beautiful but the area around it…not so much. Buffalo has so much to offer!

I will put that on my bucket list! I’ve never been to Buffalo. (Sorry it took so long to respond, it’s been a bit hectic with Christmas and a wedding)!
