The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the works of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth;
their words to the end of the world.
Psalm 19:1-4
Three things I learned about the Northern Lights on our cruise to Norway:
They do not appear all the time, there is a correlation with activity on the sun.
They appear very faint in the night sky, they show up more vibrantly in photos, especially if you have a real camera, not an iPhone.
When you do see them, it is a magical experience. You can imagine why the ancients were amazed, astounded and concerned about the things they saw in the sky.
We may not have had the most brilliant display, but we are so thankful that God allowed us to see his painting in the skies. We are blessed.
Have you ever seen the Northern Lights? I’d love to hear your experience.
Lovely! I bet that was some experience! I’ve never seen the Northern Lights but always wanted to.
