Have you ever seen a lake where the water was as smooth as glass? Beautiful, isn’t it? Everything above and surrounding the lake is reflected on the surface like a mirror. Sometimes it is difficult to tell what is reality and what is reflection.
You don’t get the same effect when the water is rough or choppy.
I think it’s kind of like that with us humans. When we are still and calm we reflect the beauty of our Creator, our Savior. When are lives are chaotic and in turmoil, when we are rushed about with busyness, that reflection can’t be seen. The amazing thing is that we can be calm and still even though we are in the midst of difficulties.
